Against All Odds
The mission opens with several quick-time events. Some of these moments are optional, meaning the story continues even if you fail them.
When prompted, press the left analog stick repeatedly to continue through the opening sequence. After the cutscene ends, Bond washes ashore on a beach.
Move forward through the narrow gap between the rocks. Shortly afterward, you’ll discover an injured pilot before enemy soldiers arrive in the area.
This section introduces the game’s stealth mechanics. Hide behind the rocks when instructed, then sneak behind the guards and continue along the coastal path.
Do not rush too far ahead, however, because another soldier patrols near the cave entrance.
Follow the main path and crouch behind cover to avoid enemy fire. Instead of climbing upward immediately, move across the shallow water and hide inside the tall grass.
Bond remains hidden while crouched in vegetation, although his malfunctioning radio briefly causes trouble. Press Y/Triangle to disable the interference before moving toward the rocks ahead.
Locate the Camp
After the next cinematic sequence, the mission objective changes to locating the enemy camp.
This area mainly serves as a movement and climbing tutorial. The route is fairly linear, though players can choose between lower and higher climbing paths along the cliffs.
Eventually, Bond slips while crossing the cliffside.
Your destination is the open window visible ahead.
Sprint through the water toward the nearby grass. Enemies will not react to splashing here, so speed is not an issue.
Stay crouched while moving through the grass until two guards appear examining explosives. Once they walk away, quickly pass them and climb through the open window.
Search the Room
Inside the cabin are several optional interactable objects.
To the right, players can inspect an MI6 briefcase. A locked SMG can also be found inside the bathroom.
The main objective is the body lying on the floor. Examine it before leaving through the nearby door beside the bunk beds.
In the next cabin, inspect the radio directly ahead. Additional optional items include:
- A Patch on the left-side bag
- A Torn Page on the right
- A Rocket Launcher on the table
Outside, a BT-65 transport suddenly crashes nearby.
Before interacting with the transport laptop, look at the shelf to the right to collect:
Collectible Card #1 — 7 of Acorns
After collecting the card, use the laptop beside the crashed transport.
Investigating the Crash Site
Follow the route toward the tent with the yellow entrance flap.
Continue along the linear path until you reach a room covered in white tarps. Interact with the crashed device and search the nearby crates for the onboard computer.
Once the enemies leave the room, enter the red door and collect the antidote from the medical station on the back wall.
A quick-time event then triggers where Bond injects both antidotes. The animation continues even if the button input is missed.
Return outside and follow the guards up the cliffs until you reach an overlook above the enemy camp.
Save the Hostages
Although the camp initially appears large and complicated, the objective is actually very straightforward once the correct route is followed.
Drop down from the ledge and enter the tall grass.
Move toward the yellow signal box and activate the flares. While the guards investigate the distraction, enter the nearby doorway labeled “66.”
Hide behind the crates until the soldiers move away, then sprint toward the G9 building.
Instead of entering through the front, move around the back where two guards are stationed.
Use the SAS radio placed on nearby crates to lure one guard away. Perform a silent takedown once he approaches, then quietly eliminate the second guard.
Enter the G9 building and neutralize the enemy inside.
Near the desk, collect:
Memento #1 — Satellite Part
Interact with the soldier on the floor to obtain the keycard, then unlock the nearby hostage room.
After rescuing them, exit through the side door.
On the left side is a BT-65 control station. Activate it to create another distraction.
While the guards investigate the transport crash, move toward the F2 building and use the console to lower the shutters.
Inside the building, take down the lone guard. Nearby enemies will not investigate, giving you time to climb the crates beside the B4 structure.
Reach the rooftop, descend the ladder, and enter the building below.
Take out the guard inside and speak with the hostages to receive the detonator.
All Remaining Collectibles
Before escaping the camp, collect the remaining hidden items:
Legacy #1 — Cruciform Key
Located inside the F8 container mounted on the wall.
Postcard #1 — Iceland
Found inside the B2 container on the desk. Defeat the nearby enemy first before collecting it.
After gathering everything, return to the rooftop and sabotage the equipment.
Escape the Camp
Drop down the opposite side of the rooftop and follow the escape route.
During the chase, a mandatory quick-time event occurs involving an enemy soldier. Press B/Circle quickly to stop Bond from being shot.
A second QTE involving the detonator follows shortly afterward. Regardless of the player’s input, the story outcome remains the same.
Completing the sequence unlocks the achievement:
Icebreaker
In His Majesty’s Secret Service
The following chapter moves the story to MI6 Headquarters.
There is very little exploration here, so simply follow Moneypenny through the building. Sit down when instructed and optionally speak with Pansonby before meeting M.
Dialogue choices during these conversations have minimal impact on the story, allowing players to choose whichever responses they prefer.
Once the meeting concludes, follow Moneypenny to the elevator. Several cutscenes then transition the story toward Malta, where Bond’s official training begins.
