Filing for Love Episode 10 begins with a flashback to 2022 showing the first meeting of A-jeong and I-na. A-jeong has broken her heel and I-na lends her a shoe as they have the same brand. Later, A-jeong finds out that I-na’s shoes are real and hers are fake and this makes her uncomfortable and insecure.
Shortly after that, I-na leaves for the U.S. and A-jeong never gets to return the shoes.
Currently, A-jeong sends an email exposing an alleged affair, wondering if she did it out of love for Jae-yeol or out of resentment toward him.
Jae-yeol sees the messages while visiting his mother, and heads back to the office, where the board (led by Sung-yeol) is questioning I-na about the leaked photo.
Jae-yeol halts the interrogation and instructs HR to trace the sender’s IP address, noting that the incident may be defamation. He is also concerned about a possible data breach as the message was sent to all the employees.
That night, Sung-yeol meets I-na and pressures her to join him, warning her that the situation could lead to a major scandal. I-na shakes her head.
The next morning, Sung-yeol forms a separate investigation team led by Kim Deok-chul. They get to I-na’s work area, take away her things and summon her for questioning.
Ki-jun is worried about her but I-na is firm in saying that she is a victim of internal politics and believes she can sort it because of her experience.
Then, later, Team Three takes I-na out to dinner to cheer her up. As they eat, Da-ye sees Ki-jun’s feelings for I-na growing stronger.
Hyun-young finds out that Jae-yeol has been to I-na’s house recently. She remembers seeing an engagement ring in Jae-yeol’s study with the inscription “JIA.” She confirms that it stands for Joo I-na.
The next day Ki-jun gets a call from an IT friend who traces the email to his house. Jae-yeol receives the same info, and both realize that A-jeong is behind the attack, including the anonymous messages sent to Ki-jun.
Jae-yeol confronts A-jeong, who defends herself by blaming him for neglecting her feelings. Eventually she gets fired from her job.
At the same time, Sung-yeol cannot break I-na and resorts to intimidation, threatening HR action against Team Three if she does not comply.
Later that night, I-na gets really drunk and Ki-jun takes her home. Ki-jun volunteers to shoulder the blame for the email incident, hoping to protect her.
Ki-jun goes first at the disciplinary hearing but I-na shows up and takes all the blame on herself. The game changes completely when Jae-yeol confesses he’s the man in the picture. The hug was a spontaneous emotional response to seeing I-na after many years apart, he says. “They used to date but they’re no longer together.
Later, Hyun-young steps in to help Jae-yeol after his father scolds him about the scandal. She contributes her family’s resources for a big business project ahead and backs Jae-yeol to be installed as president in the upcoming general meeting.
At the office, the rumors about I-na are still spreading, with some employees believing that her promotions were based on her relationship with Jae-yeol. But I-na still shows up for work and she confronts the gossip head on.
Meanwhile, Sung-yeol gets angry when hearing their father might back up Jae-yeol’s promotion because of Hyun-young’s influence.
Doo-gi tells Sung-yeol new information about Haemu Pharmaceutical, that I-na had deleted some company files from cloud storage during the investigation. There are no details yet but Sung-yeol thinks he can use this during the upcoming shareholders’ meeting.
He asks A-jeong to be a witness in order to strengthen his case.
At the shareholders’ meeting, Mu-tae officially nominates Jae-yeol as president, but Sung-yeol protests, accusing Jae-yeol of misconduct and saying his “girlfriend,” I-na, helped to cover it up.
The episode ends with a major shock when A-jeong comes into the room as his witness.
Episode Summary
The first flashback recontextualizes A-jeong’s motivation, revealing her long-standing insecurity and inferiority complex towards I-na. Her resentment seems to arise not only from being romantically rejected by Jae-yeol, but also from jealousy over I-na’s status and power. But her behaviour is inexcusable because emotional attachment is no excuse for inappropriate behaviour or harassment at work.
The episode does a great job of illustrating how toxic corporate politics can be, where personal vendettas are weaponized and innocent employees are dragged into scandals they didn’t start. Jae-yeol’s personal entanglements keep spiraling out of control and much of I-na’s suffering comes from this, albeit indirectly.
Ki-jun’s willingness to take the blame for the email adds a layer of emotional complexity, but it also seems frustrating given that A-jeong’s actions clearly deserve accountability. Fortunately, Jae-yeol does eventually come to realize the truth, but the damage has already been done to I-na’s public image.
The plot also emphasizes the continuing theme of power struggles within the family and corporate setting, particularly in the political machinations of Sung-yeol and the strategic intervention of Hyun-young.
The episode ends on a solid cliffhanger, with a high-stakes confrontation at the shareholders’ meeting, with an unexpected return of A-jeong as a key witness.
